The Manchester Christmas Dinner
The Christmas Dinner, was founded in Manchester in 2013 by poet and writer, Lemn Sissay OBE. Since 2013 the idea has spread across the UK. Each Dinner has its own local flavour, and is organised by teams of volunteers drawn from the local community. They come together to provide a special and fun-filled Christmas day for young adult care leavers aged between the ages of 18 and 25 who otherwise would be alone on Christmas Day. The Manchester Christmas Dinner is a part of the bigger family of Christmas Dinners supported by The Gold from the Stone Foundation
