TiPP at National Student Drama Festival
TiPP have teamed up with the hugely prestigious National Student Drama Festival to increase access to high quality arts for inmates at HMYOI Thorn Cross.
NSDF have commissioned theatre director David Newman to work alongside TiPP with a self selecting group of participants aged 18-25.
They have spent four sessions working on Citizenship by Mark Ravenhill, exploring the story, themes and language.
On 1 April 2009 the group will be attending the festival and delivering a performance workshop of the material they have created as a result of working on the play alongside TiPP, David, Mark Ravenhill and students from the University of Manchester.
They will also take part in discussions and workshops and watch a number of performances.
We’re confident this pilot project will be a huge success to be repeated again next year!
